Coming to Jones Road, Under a Blood Red Sky #6, Faith Ringgold

Faith Ringgold created a series called Coming to Jones Road in honor of a home she once lived in that represented safety and security, despite all the world's troubles. Knowing that when you reach Jones Road, you’ll be alright was the key theme of this series. Ringgold honors Black history through this series as it represents a larger meaning with connection to the dark reality of how the world is structured against Black people. Her use of primary colors added to the depth of the scenery as it led to the distant moon.
